I’ve had a breast implant done abt 9 years ago. Not pleased with the look and feel since then cos they look like i’ve had pushed-up bra on even when I go bra-less. Thinking of getting them removed and going for fillers. 1) What is the cost to get the existing implants removed? 2) How long do I have to wait to get the fillers done after removing the implants? 3) HOw long will the effect of the fillers last – I understand the breast may get smaller over time.

Hi Karen, the cost for the whole process would be 8-9k SGD. The procedure can be done as a day surgery, so no hospitalization is needed. You can go home on the same day of the surgery with only oral painkillers. You should be safe to fly approximately 3-5 days after the surgery.

Hi, umbilical approach is only available for saline implants and not many doctors offer this approach as the placement of the implant is very difficult to get correct, due to the long distance from the final implant site.

So far we are aware that Mentor breast implants come with a lifetime warranty against defects. We recommend that saline is the safest implant, but the look and feel is not as natural, and there are complications like leakage and rupture. A very good compromise is cohesive silicon (gummy bear implants), which has superior look and feel, while maintaining a level of safety approval from FDA.
